Information about Peter
I have lived in Bridgnorth for over 20 years and have 2 children at the local school. I am a Civil Engineering graduate with a long career in Software Development and a passion for both doing and teaching Maths. I am currently studying for a maths degree with the OU for fun!
I have taught many students in this area from KS£ 3 up to and including A level.
I have a very patient but enthsiatic "can do" approach, which combined with a systematic and structured approach to exams has seen my students achieve their potential. I believe maths can be rewarding and even fun! However I am also convinvced the basics must be solid in order to progress.
Other than getting to know each other, Our first task is always to establish any gaps in fundamental knowledge - from tables, through arithmetic, fractions etc. Once we have plugged any gaps, I tend to follow a topic based approach supported by handouts. These include graduated questions designed to reinforce the material that has been covered in the lesson and to ensure the topic has been fully understood by the student.
Come exam time, I make extensive use of past papers and will mark completed papers in my own time.
All I require from the student is to ask questions when they don`t understand something and to do the homework set to the best of their ability.

Feedback For Peter (3)
Excellent tutor, my daughter has gained the additional support she needed, but above all is far more confident with her Maths.. Would highly recommend Peter, he is an excellent Maths tutor
An excellent tutor, as well as helping my son to understand his GCSE Maths, he has also restored my sons self esteem, confidence and self belief in his maths ability. My son now feels secure and positive that he CAN pass his GCSE Maths as he now gets it. I highly recommend this tutor.
My year 11 daughter is actually enjoying maths with Peter.
