Katie

Hi my name is Katie.

I am a 35 years old. I graduated from the Institute of Education in June 2012 as an English and Drama secondary school teacher. My degree is also in both English and Drama and I have had 3 years previous experience as a behaviour manger, in a challenging and diverse school. I am a friendly, patient and approachable person. I enjoy Pilates, yoga, theatre, various arts, reading and keeping fit. I believe that keeping positive is essential to being happy. I am young at heart but know when to focus on important things in my life. I am currently work at a secondary school in the borough of Ealing. I also teach and choreograph dance and have 14 years of experience in this field.

Availability: I am available evenings.

I am also available to tutor group sessions.

Experience: Previous to my 3 years at University I worked as a behaviour manager at Harlington Community high school. I spent 3 years working at Harlington School, which is what motivated me to return to university in order to ultimately fulfil my dream of becoming a secondary school teacher. I also have lots of experience with younger children in roles that have included, after school play worker, nannying, child-minding, private English tutoring and drama coaching. I am looking to tutor English to children in KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5. I would also love to coach drama one to one.
