I retired early from teaching Maths after 25 years in secondary schools and colleges. I really enjoy tutoring one to one and being able to respond to the individual needs of students. It is very rewarding to see them gain in confidence and enjoy their sessions with me.

My main expertise is in Higher level GCSE and A Level Maths. I can offer all the applied modules at A- level - Decision Maths, Statistics and Mechanics as well as the Core modules.

My daughter is now a Maths teacher (I did not manage to put her off!) which helps me to keep up to date with current issues and exam changes. I also mark A Level papers each year so understand what examiners are looking for.

Availability: Usually I am available on weekdays after school (not evenings or weekends) or during the day for college students.
I prefer to tutor in my own home where I have my resources to hand and can fit in more students. But I can travel within Andover if necessary.
I am not taking on new students at the moment.

Experience: In addition to my wide experience in a variety of schools and colleges as a classroom teacher I have now been tutoring for 10 years with good (though not guaranteed!) success in students` exam results.
