My profile picture shows me, with my son, on a canal boating holiday in Cheshire in August 2011. I am relaxed and happy having just retired after a successful teaching career. From February 2013 to January 2014, and Septemeber 2015 to March 2016, I taught A level and GCSE groups at Cheadle Hulme school, so I am now retired again.

During my career, I have taught students of all ages and all abilities - with consistent success - so I am sure that I can help you to achieve the best grade possible. I have 36 years experience of teaching science subjects and mathematics to GCSE level. My specialist area is Physics - which I have always taught to A level.

Availability: I retired from my post as Head of Physics at Eaton Bank school in Congleton in 2011. I have recently finished a maternity cover part-time job in the Physics department at Cheadle Hulme school. This means that I am available to teach at any time during the day, as well as evenings and weekends. I travel to you, and there are no travel fees.

Experience: Just tell me which section of the course is giving you difficulty, and I will explain it to you. This is what makes science and mathematics different to other subjects - you need to understand them - you cannot just `learn them`.
Together, we can then make sure that you are able to apply this new-found understanding to examination questions.
