I am an actress and tutor. I studied at Edinburgh University - where I achieved a first class MA in English Literature and Language. I then trained as an actress at LAMDA and have been tutoring for the last ten years.

I try to make all my lessons fun - this normally means finding common ground with my students and using this as a means by which to bolster their confidence. This way, they come to realise their own strengths; we can then build on this, which helps the student to enjoy the subject.

I focus especially hard on getting students to build their own armoury of tools to deal with their work; this way they can approach any question and answer it for themselves as opposed to spoon feeding them. I find this then extends into other subjects as well.

I am always available should my students wish to email me work to check or ask any additional questions (at no extra charge).

Availability: Flexible availability in the week Monday to Saturday.

Experience:
I have been tutoring in English Literature and Language, Drama and Theatre Studies for the last ten years. I have experience in all the major boards as well as experience in prepping students for Common Entrance.

I provide learning support through from five years upwards and have extensive experience tutoring those for whom English is not a first language. I also have experience tutoring students with additional needs.


I teach practical lessons in piano, clarinet and recorder. I also teach Speech and Drama and run drama lessons in a nearby Stage School.
