Hi there! I`m Hayley, a very experienced KS2 teacher offering private tuition locally, and in surrounding areas. I can offer maths and English tutoring for children aged 7 - 12, regardless of their ability or motivation to learn! Whether your child needs extra support or simply just a confidence boost - or stretching to exceed the expected standards, I will be able to help. Much of my career has been spent teaching in Year 6 and I am very familiar not only with the SATS tests, but also with how children cope differently during this stressful time, and how they learn in different ways. A child who may be struggling in the classroom may simply need a different approach to enable them to access learning.

I am familiar with the 11+ tests and have successfully prepared children for common entrance exams and the 11 plus. As a passionate musician, I am also a very competent pianist and can offer piano lessons for children aged 6 - 16.

I love what I do and I`m always in awe of how children can achieve beyond the `expectations`, regardless of their needs. Sometimes a little understanding and nurturing is what`s needed. If I can`t prove a positive change to a child`s learning, then my job has not been done!

I can offer sessions either at my own home in Andover or if you prefer I can drive to you. It`s your choice (additional charges outside of Andover).

The first taster session will always be free of charge.

Availability: Weekdays (Monday - Friday), anytime from 8:30am until 7:00pm.

Typical sessions are 1 hour, once weekly (can flexible according to need).

10% discount for the first 6 sessions pre-booked and pre-paid (rearrangements will be made in case of sickness or cancellation), following which, sessions are charged at full price.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: 16 years experience teaching primary school children, with specialism in Key-stage 2 (years 3-6), in particular years 5 and 6.

I have taught in 3 very different mainstream primary schools during my career with children of diverse abilities and needs, so I have a wealth of tricks and tools under my belt to address any hurdle (well, pretty much!)

I`ve successfully prepared children for common entrance and 11+ exams.
