I am a well qualified , experienced and successful teacher of Mathematics and statistics to a range of levels and age groups from 15+ years upwards in secondary, further and higher education and through private and online tuition.I tutor at my home on a one to one or small group basis..I teach GCSE , A level ,BTEC and Mathematics for Engineering students.I have marked scri pts for several UK examination boards. I continue to find it very satisfying helping people improve their Mathematical knowledge and skills.

My approach to tuition may be summarised as follows:

1. Diagnose weak areas that urgently require attention .
2. Make an ordered personalised plan of essential topics to be covered.
3. Strengthen areas identified enabling more rapid progress.
4. Illustrate correct presentation of work through examples especially of past paper origin.
5. Provide opportunity for monitored student practice of typical examples both during and between tuition sessions.
6. Give revision guidance including how to maximise marks obtained in exams .
7. Present a friendly but focussed approach at all stages.

Availability: Monday to Friday day and evenings and weekends

Experience: I have more than 25 years experience teaching Mathematics on a full time basis in FE establishments.I have also worked as a private tutor from home including online tuition via Skype to a tutees in the area of Mathematics and Statistics.
