I am a highly experienced maths tutor with nearly ten years experience. I have a first degree in Physics with Maths and a PhD in Physics. Previously I worked in industry as an operational research consultant , applying maths on a daily basis. After graduating I taught maths and physics in secondary schools before going on to work in industry. My tutoring experience began with my own children and has led on to teaching others at levels ranging from Key Stage 2 to A2 Further Maths. I have successfully tutored around a hundred clients aged from 10 to 50. My approach to tutoring focuses on building confidence through understanding and practice. I aim to keep sessions relaxed and friendly and encourage students to feel that it’s OK to make mistakes since this enables me to understand things from their perspective and guide them in the right direction.
