Information about Genevieve
A hard working and enthusiastic medical graduate and member of MENSA, with over 10 years of tutoring experience from ages 4 to 30.
Prior to starting Medicine at the University of Southampton and Dnipro Medical Institute, I completed my Masters in Cardiovascular Research from King`s College London in 2013, and was lucky enough to have my research published in the medical journal `Cardiovascular Research`. In 2012 I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Queen Mary, University of London.
I thoroughly enjoy tutoring many different subjects, in particular Maths and Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) because the idea of motivating younger students in a subject that I am so passionate about is thoroughly rewarding. I have over 10 years of tutoring experience, both paid and voluntary, for students aged between 4 and 30. I have helped students achieve excellent results in SATS, 11+, GCSE and A-levels.
My passion and experience in teaching maths has also lead to educational content creation. I wanted to develop videos that I could refer my students back to and hopefully reach a larger audience. I now have over 16,000 followers on TikTok (@Fatcatmaths).
I have also worked closely with clinicians involved in UCAT tutoring schools, and interview preparation. I am therefore also able to provide lessons for those hoping to improve their chances of getting into Medicine. I achieved a UCAT score of 800 (band 1) in 2014. Please contact me for details.
Thank you!
