Fully qualified and experienced, I have been teaching since 2002 and tutoring since 2006. My first degree is in English, which is my main subject, but I have also successfully delivered private tuition in subjects such as Study Skills (up to degree level), History, RE, Army Entrance Exams, and Creative Writing, to learners ranging between primary school age and adult. I also have experience of working with learners with special educational needs (SEN) and behavioural problems.

Availability: I am available on weekday evenings. Please note that due to being a full time carer, I can now only offer online tuition.

Experience: I have been tutoring one to one since 2006, although I began teaching in colleges in 2002 and I have also worked in secondary schools. My roles have included lecturing in subjects that include GCSE English, Basic Skills, and Creative Writing. I also have experience of learning support. I am friendly and supportive, working to increase my students` confidence and understanding of the subject by focusing on vital areas such as exam technique, identifying weak areas and targeting them. Under my tutelage they frequently make vast improvements, as can be seen from my feedback.
