I am currently a chemistry teacher at Tarporley High School; a high performing state secondary school.
Prior to this I taught in the private sector at Ruthin School, North Wales for five years.
Before Ruthin I was again at Tarporley as a chemistry teacher with additional responsibilities, such as head of chemistry and deputy curriculum leader in science.

I teach all the A-Level topics (organic, inorganic and physical) following the AQA Chemistry specification. I am an expert in A-Level Chemistry, having extensive experience of the specification through my day-to-day teaching.

I teach all abilities at GCSE, following the AQA Chemistry specification. Students undertake either the separate science chemistry qualification or the Combined Science qualification.

I am currently a GCSE chemistry examiner for all of the main UK exam boards (we are not allowed to disclose which), an A-Level chemistry examiner and an examiner for international chemistry exams.

I teach chemistry at Key Stage 3 to students of all abilities.

I was also a Specialist Leader in Education (SLE) for two years. The nature of this role was to provide support to other schools that were in need of it.

Following my graduation from the University of Durham I worked at the Atomic Weapons Establishment in Aldermaston as a Radionuclides Scientist. This role involved physics and chemistry and I undertook a variety of roles advising different government agencies.
