Information about Franziska
WILLKOMMEN! Native German language tutor offers all levels of German language learning.
I have been teaching German consistently for over 10 years and I enjoy teaching my subject as well as helping the learner to approach the target language successfully.
I have very good experience in teaching adults as well as young people, ranging from teaching German at KS3, GCSE to A-level. Either for academic pursuits or for pleasure or professional reasons, all of my students have achieved excellent results in the target language.
I adapt my teaching methods to the ability and motivation of the learner with the aim to reach maximum achievement.
Using a wide range of teaching material and resources from audios, multimedia, games, magazines and books I provide an interactive approach to the target language particularly for learners who want to actively use the language whilst I focus on covering grammar and vocab drilling for specific exam preperations.
I have been teaching German at Falmouth and Exeter University since 2007. Previously to that, I also taught at a European members club in London, a German Saturday school for children and a community college in London.
Availability: I am able to come and teach at the student`s home which is included in the hourly rate as long as it is within 5 miles from my home.
If you are able to come to my place I can offer a better rate.

IGNORE THE STAR RATING as someone I have never taught gave me a poor star rating, as I could not commit to see the person due to distance/location and it was based on misunderstanding.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I did my qualification in teaching languages in Further Education in 2003/04 and have since then been teaching German.
I am a very experienced and cover all levels of teaching, from teaching young people in secondary education to adult education.
I currently teach German in Further Education at Falmouth University. Further I have been helping a Oxford student to be able to read and understand academic literature successfully in German. I am currently also teaching a student with his GCSE German.

Had my first lesson with Franziska and couldn`t be more please with how it went. She is a great tutor and is able to answer any question I had with ease. I look forward to the many lessons ahead. Would definitely recommend.

I wanted to learn German as I`m working a winter in Austria and I`m an absolute beginner to the language. I got in contact with Franziska and she was extremely helpful and suited my lessons to what I would need to know for my season in Austria, I only wish I started the lessons earlier!
Tutors Response :
Danke Lee, ich wuensche dir alles Gute! (I wish you all the best!)

Great tuition, thank you. Very clear and well organised.
Tutors Response :
Hallo Christopher,
Hope you are well and just wanted to say thanks for the feedback... which I have only discovered now.
Best and hello to your mum (still love the knitted jumper!)

Communication is not great and through that didn`t get as far as the first lesson .... little else to say.
Tutors Response :
Well, I have arranged to meet you on one occasion and would have gone out of my way for the first lesson to meet you towards your direction. However you turned it down in the last minute (the day when I was meant to meet you) as it did not seem convenient for you. Then you seemed to be one week here and one week away which I understand for leisure or work reasons, but I do question someones serious commitment if the time offered was turned down in the last minute because of dinner time. Maybe you should make up your mind first and prioritise what is more important for you as you certainly waisted my time as I was ready and prepared for the first lesson and then you turned it down at the last minute. Language learning is only effective if you are committed to it and therefore attend regularly or have intensive lessons every other week.
