Information about Alexander
I am currently a PhD student in the Philosophy of Physics at King`s College London where I also teach classes to undergraduates in Physics and the Philosophy of Physics. While the focus of my studies has moved away from the practice of Physics towards the more philosophical aspects of physical theories, I have a Master`s degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and I retain my passion for Physics and Maths along with considerable expertise.
I am very keen to communicate my enthusiasm for these subjects to students. For the past five years I have been regularly tutoring and I have thus acquired an understanding of how best to impart the relevant knowledge.
Availability: I am living in London full-time I am available primarily on weekday evenings, in the day time in central London and on occasional weekends.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Since 2013 I have tutored on a one-one basis for more than 300 hours. this has included Physics and Maths at all school levels. Since 2014, in addition to continuing personal tutoring I teach classes of undergraduate philosophers and physicists at King`s College London.
Further to this wealth of experience with personal tuition I have taught classes in schools in both Physics and Maths: in 2008 three months teaching in a school in Uganda, and in 2011 one month teaching both Physics and Maths in a grammar school in Canterbury.
