I am an experienced, friendly teacher who has been a private tutor for a number of years.

I have a BA (Hons)in English and Theatre Studies from the University of Warwick. I also have a PGCE from the University of Warwick and I have regular Enhanced CRB checks. I have been a GCSE and A Level Examiner.

I am able to teach English, English Literature, English Language, Drama and Theatre Studies, English for primary English skills, 11+, Years 7,8 and 9 English, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, IB, Cambridge Pre-U and essay writing for university.I also prepare pupils for the English entrance tests for local independent schools including Sevenoaks and Tonbridge. I have taught in both independent and state schools as well as at a further education college.

I listen carefully to the student`s needs and I tailor my lessons to each individual student. I very much enjoy teaching privately as it really makes a difference.

Experience: I have taught in a variety of schools and a further education college - both state and independent - for 28 years.I have been Head of English, Head of Drama, a Deputy Head and Head of Sixth Form. I have been a teacher in charge of a Nursery school, I have taught at primary level and I used to run my own Drama School.
