Information about Niall
My approach to teaching is dynamic and methodical. I am energetic, focused and provide a learning experience that feels natural and enjoyable. I have 20 years experience of teaching in secondary comprehensives and independant schools. I have taught all ages
and abilities. I have been a home tutor for 15 years with a exceptionally
high pass rate for exams.

This last academic year I tutored many different students and all achieved higher grades (17) or the same (5) than was expected. In P.E, Biology and Chemistry the vast majority achieved A or B grades at A level or grades 7-9 in GCSE.

I spent 10 years working in premiership football as a sport scientist so have practical experience of how science can be used in the real world.

Niall has made a huge difference to my son Tyler in a very short space of time. Before starting with him, Tyler had no real interest in Biology at all. He had struggled all throughout secondary school, didn’t engage in lessons, and found the subject difficult to understand, which knocked his confidence. After just a few weeks with Niall, the change has been incredible. Tyler now genuinely looks forward to his sessions and is far more engaged. Niall has a calm, approachable way of teaching and explains things so clearly that it finally “clicks” for Tyler. He has already learnt so much in a short period of time, and his confidence is growing with each session. Niall’s teaching style is exactly as described on his profile - dynamic, structured, and enjoyable. He brings energy to the sessions while keeping them focused, and his experience really shows in how he adapts to Tyler’s needs and level of understanding. It doesn’t feel forced or overwhelming, which has been key for Tyler. You can clearly see the benefit of his years of experience, including his work as an examiner, as he knows exactly how to prepare students for exams in a way that makes sense to them. He also links topics to real-life examples, which has helped Tyler understand the subject on a deeper level. We will definitely be continuing with Niall right up to Tyler’s exams and I only wish we had started sooner. I would highly recommend him to anyone whose child is struggling with Biology or lacking confidence -he really does make a difference.

Niall has provided tutoring covering science at GCSE level, he has helped explain difficult concepts in simple terms and worked through past papers effectively.

Best Tutor we have ever had and we have had a few! Not via Tutor Hunt though. Niall is really approachable with a calm and professional manner, which my daughter finds very comfortable, so therefore enjoys the sessions very much and has become excited by Science thanks to Niall!
