I’m a qualified teacher, Cambridge University graduate, experienced tutor and semi-professional classical singer. I value and aspire to intelligent and critical reading and writing and believe that developing these skills will serve you to flourish in all contexts of life. 

Singing

I have fifteen years’ experience as a professional choral and chorus singer, allied to Master`s degree in Music and Vocal Studies from Cambridge University and Trinity Laban Conservatoire respectively. I have taught singing in schools and privately for almost as long, and have directed an amateur choir for the past five years. My all-round musicianship is top drawer, and I am able to support you at the piano, and prepare you for examinations as required.

Piano

I have worked successfully as a piano teacher to children and adults over a number of years. I hold masters degrees in Music and Vocal Studies from the University of Cambridge and TrinityLaban Conservatoire respectively and have 15 years’ experience working as a professional choral musician mostly in London. I hold qualified classroom teacher status for Music and have worked as a visiting singing teacher at a leading Girls’ Grammar School and as an associate piano teach for Miele Canto Music School. This wide experience is reflected in my approach to teaching the piano and I am capable of supporting both progress at the instrument as well as wider musicianship. A hallmark of my teaching is my ability to enthuse and inspire and adapting my approach to consider individual needs and interests. 

Availability: Weekday evenings, anytime Thursdays.
