i have been tutoring since 1995 and teach all ages, levels and abilities including professionals (use of academic and professional English): primary, secondary, university (to PhD level.) I have experience as a GSCE examiner (OCR) and my specialisms are University, GCSE and A level.

There were obviously no exams in May/June 2020, but all all my GCSE and A level students from this year improved on their mock grades by at least one grade so all met or exceeded their expectations with all my highest level students A level students achieving As and GCSE securing grades 8s and 9s (some two 9s.) Students looking for a grade 4 or above as their passport to further their chosen study route all achieved at least a Grade 4 or 5.

Last summer (2019), one of my degree level students increased her summer 2018 marks from B/C to gain a B.A.Hons.First Class degree.

In Summer 2019, my GCSE and A level students reached, or exceeded, the grades they were aiming for (As and Cs) with two GCSE students getting Grade 8s for both their Literature and Language examinations and one achieving a 9 for Literature and an 8 for Language. Equally important were the results of all my "less able at English" students but particularly those achieving grade 4s or 5s.

I teach a broad range of students coming to me from Ashford, Dover and Canterbury as well as more locally and online.

Chinese and Home Ed students are especially welcome as are adult professionals wanting support in their English verbal and written communication skills.

I also offer tutoring for school refusers/ phobics, SEN (including dyslexia) and excluded students My background is academic (teaching teachers) as well as providing welfare support for university students.

Mon-Wed - currently some day spaces for all students including university, college, professionals and home educated students.
