The current situation with respect to the exam arrangements in education in England and Scotland leaves parents and students with many concerns.
What can be said with certainty though is that the GCSE/AS Level and full A Level in England as well as the National 5/Higher exam diets in Scotland for academic session 2020-21 will not take place. Across the curriculum, grades will be awarded by teacher predictions which will be based on pupil performance throughout the academic year. This means that pupils aiming for the highest possible grades will have to consistently produce quality written evidence of mastery of their chosen subjects.
In Maths and Chemistry it is possible to be ahead of the teaching in class by providing students with one to one tuition in each topic in advance of the teacher delivering the lesson in class. This prepares the student for clearer understanding of the concepts being taught.

Experience: I have been teaching/tutoring in both maths and chemistry to 10-18 year olds for some 18 years. I am fully up to date with the new National qualifications in both subjects. As such my knowledge of the syllabus for each level of these subjects and the style of the questions contained in examination papers allows me to prepare students in advance of exams with absolute command of the concepts involved and allows the students to face the papers with total confidence in their prospective performance.
