Hello. My name is Donna and I have been teaching for 15 years. I currently teach French in a primary school covering PPA and I also provide general cover across the school. I have been teaching here since 2015 however before this I taught French and some German at a large comprehensive secondary school in Manchester for 11 years teaching Key Stages 3 and 4. I consistently achieved excellent results with my students at both Key Stage 3 and 4 enabling them to meet and in most cases exceed their target level/grade. I am familiar with both Edexcel and AQA examination boards and the examination requirements in addition to working with students with examination preparation at GCSE enabling them all to achieve and exceed their target grade. I currently work part time over 5 days a week and have been tutoring for over 7 years now with a proven track record as some of my testimonials show. I tutor a variety of learners mainly at secondary school level however have also tutored adult learners and am able to tutor at primary level which given the compulsory introduction of a Modern Foreign Language for all primary school children aged 7 and above from September 2014 may prove useful for those wishing to boost their child`s linguistic competency prior to starting secondary school.
I live in Flixton with my husband who is a self-employed driving instructor and our two children aged 10 and 11. I have my own transport and usually travel to your home within the Flixton/Urmston/Davyhulme and Stretford area.

Availability: Please contact me regarding your availability. I normally tutor on Monday evenings from 4.30pm-7.00pm or Thursdays 4-6pm but am flexible.

Experience: I have over 15 years teaching experience. I have gained 11 years experience of teaching French and German in a successful inner city secondary school in Manchester. Recent Ofsted results rated the school as good with outstanding features. My teaching has been consistently rated as Good with Outstanding features and my most recent lesson observation was Outstanding.
During my employment, I have been Head of Modern Foreign Languages but am now working as a part-time teacher of French as I have two primary aged children.
I have taught both at KS3 and KS4 in a very dynamic and successful modern languages department and have always delivered very good results at both key stages.
I am familiar with the requirements of the 2 main examination boards (Edexcel and AQA) and am able to help students prepare adequately for their GCSE exams.
