I am a qualified Primary School teacher, and a mum to a 21 year old son.

I have now retired from primary school teaching, except for the occasional supply teaching role. I have several years` experience of tutoring primary school children individually and seeing them make progress in areas where they had previously lacked confidence. I am patient and caring and love to see children gain confidence and make progress. I also worked with a child who was successful in gaining a place at Manchester Grammar School.

I can provide tuition in Maths and English for children in Key Stage 1 and 2 to help them to make progress in these subjects, by tailoring sessions to their individual needs and interests. I have also tutored children with special needs in Maths and English in Key stages 1 and 2.

I have a proven record of helping students achieve to their full potential and I provide a full personalised learning programme with extensive resources, providing feedback to the child and their parents.

A free consultation can be arranged to discuss your needs and concerns, and establish the targeted areas for your child, helping to build on prior knowledge and self esteem. There is no charge for the first session, where we discuss target areas and find out about your child and their interests and strengths.

Experience: I am a qualified Primary School Teacher, and have taught for in Y5 and Y6 and worked as a supply teacher for several years with all year groups, from Nursery to Year 6, as well as working with children with special educational needs. I have worked in primary schools one to one with children, in English and Maths, as well as over 5 years experience in private tutoring.
