I have been a chemistry tutor for more than 25 years, guiding and helping students from all backgrounds. I encourage parents to come along to meet me for the first tuition so that their mind is put at rest that their child is in a safe environment. There is a nice pub (Duke of Wellington) within walking distance where you can chill out while waiting for the tuition to finish.
Availability: I`m flexible but available at some

Experience: I did my PGCE in Exeter, and then taught Chemistry in Bristol for several years at the John Cabot CTC. Later I returned to Manchester to settle and gained an MSc in Chemistry. During this time, I taught at a school in Northwich and also acted as a private tutor for Manchester and surrounding villages in Cheshire. After my MSc, I taught at the South Cheshire college. After that I moved to Durham where I taught in Newton Aycliffe as a cover teacher. Also, I have been working as an examiner for 17 years. The advantage being an examiner is that I can pass on the knowledge of how to answer questions effectively and gain full marks without being flustered with long answers that are irrelevant. since I became a mum soon after finished at Newton Aycliffe, I decided to only work as an examiner and I`m a private tutor in Durham (17 years)

Following a disappointing B in A-level Chemistry as a result of Centre Assessed Grades in 2020, Kim tutored my daughter for four 2-hour sessions in preparation for her to undertake the October ‘resit’. She found Kim to be very helpful in focusing on any areas of difficulty (e.g. acids & bases) which really boosted her confidence. My daughter also found the resources that Kim provided between sessions (e.g. practice questions from a variety of sources) to be very useful as not available elsewhere. The end result was that my daughter achieved the A she needed to take up her offer of a Medicine degree starting 2021. Thanks Kim!

I managed to achieve an A* in A Level Chemistry thanks to Kim`s help.
Kim covered the course content very thoroughly and prepared me for the exam providing me with: succinct revision booklets, exam questions from a range of sources and years. Exposure to such a wide range of sources prepared me for any eventuality in the exam!
Aside from the excellent resources, Kim is proficient at explaining concepts and suggesting learning techniques.
Kim is also extremely supportive during exam season.
She will push you to your absolute limits- bringing out your potential which is why I would recommend her as a chemistry tutor.
