I am a qualified History and Politics teacher with eight years teaching experience. I have taught History across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. I also have taught Government and Politics at Key Stage 5.
As a subject leader for History and Politics at a grammar school, I have experience teaching very able students as well as those who have significant educational challenges in terms of attainment, behaviour and health.
My History specialisms include: The French Revolution, The Russian Revolution, Italian Unification, The Vietnam War, Germany 1918-1945, Crime and Punishment in Britain 1000 - present day and The American West.
I am also very familiar with the Edexcel A Level Politics course.

Dawn Has tutored my daughter for A level Politics and History. My daughter was one of those students affected by COVID and her confidence levels were low. Dawn has given her time to build a rapport and been flexible to offer all the help she needed. My daughter trusts Dawn not only for her academic inputs but for overall support, which Dawn has provided. Dawn has stepped in a number of times to help Mahika at her request. In the end we had a good result considering where we started with Grade A in Politics and Grade B in History (missed Grade A by 5 marks). Dawn is a fantastic tutor, she really knows her subjects and has engaged very well with my daughter. My only regret is that I didn`t come across her sooner!
