Information about David
I am a qualified teacher, specialising in A-level mathematics and currently teaching A-level Maths and Further Maths part-time at two schools. I teach online by Zoom. I have a first class degree in Mathematics & Philosophy from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Economics from the University of London. I have taught A-level Mathematics part-time at Verulam School, St Albans and was a lecturer at West Herts College, Watford until redundancy, teaching A-level, Access and GCSE Mathematics, quantitative techniques etc and course tutor on University of Hertfordshire H.E. programmes. I have over 25 years` experience of tutoring, mainly GCSE and A-level Mathematics but also some degree work in mathematics, statistics and economics. I have marked GCSE and A-level Mathematics for the AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards.
Availability: Most weekday and weekend evenings (to be negotiated)

Since I started taking lesson with David I feel more confident with math. He makes sure that I understand what he is teaching and doesn`t mind to spend extra time for the lessons. I wish I will be able to take lessons by presence in the next future. Many thanks for all!

My son and David found a good way of working as he was flexible and easy to get on with.
David also provided guidance to help my son select his course for university.
He is an exceptional mathematician who can apply many techniques to solving difficult maths questions.
He was very thorough and made sure that my son was challenged to ensure each session was productive.
With David`s help he achieved A*’s in Maths and Further Maths as well a high mark in his MAT entrance exam.
