Information about Craig
I am working towards a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. I am lively and friendly and I enjoy learning as well as teaching.
I understand that many students learn in different ways and I try to adapt my style of teaching to the students needs. I am patient and I recognise that mathematics can be a difficult concept to grasp and is something which takes practice. I am friendly and approachable and I try to developed a relaxed and comfortable learning environment. Lastly I really enjoy mathematics and teaching and I think this transfer to the students!
Availability: I am available weekday evenings and at the weekends

Experience: I have been a Mathematics tutor at the University of Glasgow for three years while doing my Ph.D. During this time I have taught a large number of students, with varying levels of ability, and helped them get to the standard required for their university career.
I have worked as a private tutor at university level on a one-on-one basis for three years, teaching Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Statics, Dynamics and Mathematics. I have enjoyed seeing my pupils grow more confident as they progress with the material.
Additionally I have privately tutored a range of School level courses, including standard grade, Higher, A.Higher and A-level mathematics Standard grade, Higher and A.Higher Physics.
I have further experience lecturing MATLAB computer programming to first and second year university students.
Lastly, I have worked in Spain teaching English to young children. It has taught me my varied teaching style and patience in difficult situations.
