Experience: Throughout my life, the two greatest passions have been education and writing. I found early on that I had a natural ability not only to learn, but to write and explain in order to communicate clearly and effectively.

My passion for the English language began when my family migrated to the UK. Only 12 years of age and couldn’t speak a word of English, I experienced many struggles due to language barriers and cultural differences. And since language affects almost all aspects of everyday life, these issues often generated negative emotional and cognitive responses, and prevented me from taking certain actions.

With that in mind, I immersed myself fully in not only learning to speak, read and write English, but also learning how to learn a language. I believe being educated is the most important thing in life, and that life will never move on without education!

It was in Thailand that I had my first opportunities to share my knowledge and passion for English education, through teaching English to Thai students and professionals in Hua Hin. I shared with students, every bit of research and content I have found along with my own path of learning, so that they could learn English as I learned.

My teaching experience in Thailand has been truly inspirational, and I fell naturally into the role of tutor as I combined these passions in my teaching and learning materials. As I explored new and effective approaches to teaching English, I discovered that the foreigners living in Thailand have the same frustrations with the difference in cultures and the language barriers I have experienced in the earlier years of living in the UK.

This newly found knowledge has sharpened my desire to create a teaching and learning Thai language community in UK, allowing foreigners to learn and form a solid foundation in Thai language before migrating to the kingdom of Thailand. I returned to UK to attend a TEFL teacher training course at Manchester University, and became qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language in 2005. My first opportunity to experiment with these newly learned teaching techniques came soon after, when I was hired by a language provider based in London, as a Thai language tutor and an assistant for courses in Thai language.

With the teaching experience gained, I became a finer and more effective Thai language tutor, and able to teach and communicate far more effectively than ever before. During this time, I have created a series of six Conversational Thai Workbooks for adult learners, designed to develop speaking and listening skills based on the Common European for Framework of Languages.

My teaching and learning experience as a Thai language tutor, as well as my own education, eventually lead to the development of Thai Language Courses for my own private students. Initially, providing only one-to-one tuition and the teaching and learning focus was on speaking and listening for communicative purposes. Later group classes were made available to meet a growing demand for places, with more courses added to the teaching and learning programme in order to meet the learning needs. Today, I am a very proud Thai language tutor, providing both Thai and English language courses in UK.
