Hi thanks so much for looking at my tutoring page. I am here to help and would love to be chosen as your next tutor. I really enjoy my job and it`s great to hear from a new student or parent of a student who wished to find out more and use my services.
I have been teaching for quite a long time since I was 26. My career started with a mixture of English teaching to students with another language and primary teaching in an international school. I quickly realised I liked a diverse range of teaching roles and also developed a love of working with students with specific needs. My training reflects this with a broad range of courses over the years to help me meet the needs of many students with varying needs. I have chosen to work at home online but also face to face which involves being around my cats and children a lot but also having more time to get to know my students and support them in a personalised way.

Availability: I will update this as often as I can but generally I tutor during the day from 9am to 7pm but I give myself breaks so its best to ask and see what I can offer to fit in with you.
I do work weekends but usually for shorter times and I like to do mornings on the weekend if possible.

Experience: I taught in Primary schools from 2000 to 2022. I mainly stuck to classroom teaching and have taught in every year group from nursery up to year 6. I have also had leadership and SEND responsibility but I preferred being with the children. I have worked predominantly with older students from year 7 - 11 in the last two years through online tuition and have also prepared students for GCSE exams using AQA resources.
I specialise in teaching students with special educational needs such as Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and ADHD social emotional mental health issues and communication barriers.
My feedback from OFSTED was gradded outstanding as a private childcare and tutoring provider in 2012. I am also experienced in running a dyslexia and SPLD outreach service for Hertfordshire local authority and also led an alternative provision for students specializing in Autism.
I have spent 7 years teaching students in university and college study skills and being their support as they go through college and university if they have Specific Learning difficulties such as ADHD Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and dyspraxia, and I also have specialist qualifications and experience in supporting Autistic students at University for both study skills and mentoring.
I have worked in the senior leadership school in a primary school and taught all subjects.
I have successfully tutored online and je groups during covid at primary secondary and adult levels
