I have been a successful teacher and personal motivator for 34 years. I create a supportive environment where students can build their self-confidence and exceed their expectations. I was a Head of Science for 26 years. and I have been a head of every year from Y7 to Y13. I also have NPQH status ( qualified Head Teacher). I teach all Sciences and Maths to KS4 and Maths and Physics to A level. I have taught in two Comprehensive Schools, a Grammar School and a Pupil Support Unit so I have the breadth of experience to support all ranges of student ability. I develop excellent working relationships with students. I have taught over 500 students privately and my success rate is 99.6 %.

I enjoy building a creative, caring working rapport with students many of whom remain in regular contact 25 years later! I am patient, a good listener and don`t judge students previous attainment. I set homework and regularly feedback progress to parents and guardians. I expect students to take responsibility for their learning and will challenge them if they do not do the best they can.

Chris has been absolutely amazing with my teen son who suffers from severe anxiety such that he dropped out of school in Year 8 and had to be home schooled. Chris has built a great rapport with him and as a result has increased my sons confidence and self esteem as well as helping him attain Level 8 in physics and chemistry GCSE over less than a year ! Really impressed with his teaching and pastoral care which goes above and beyond . Chris communicates well with me as the parent giving regular feedback and marks assignments promptly with constructive feedback . Highly recommend him.
