I live very close to Varndean College and within a few hundred metres of Balfour, Dorothy Stringer and Varndean schools.

My lessons are focussed but relaxed and informal. I ask my students what they want help with. If they’re not sure where to start, then I’ll lead them through some questions so that I can see what help they need.

My patience and my careful listening are as important as my understanding of maths.

As I have been a full time one-to-one maths tutor since 2009, I help students to achieve their potential - whether they are struggling, gifted or just need a boost.

Experience: Since 2009, I have been tutoring students of all abilities to A level and beyond. Previously, I taught maths at evening classes.

I have a BSc in Maths and an MSc from Imperial College. I worked as a professional mathematician in manufacturing companies for several years. Then developed computer systems for manufacturing and finance companies. This involved many years of training staff in how to develop and use computer systems.
