Learning a language is about communication and I teach German using the communicative approach which means that I try as much as possible to use materials which are authentic and relevant.

I set tasks around real-world situations such as introducing yourself, shopping, asking directions etc which are relevant and of interest to my students.

I aim to teach all four skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing and I use a number of different activities during my lessons such as role play and games.

I teach beginners as well as more advanced students.

Availability: Any time except weekends

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: 5 years teaching German at International House and in company to groups of up to 8 learners or on a one-to-one basis
