Availability: Days and evenings
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have over 14 years teaching experience at secondary level, and many more years working as a designer and draftsman in both public and private sectors. My experience and knowledge allow me to show how difficult concepts can be easily explained and applied to the task in hand. I am reliable, approachable and have a good sense of humour which has helped me to build up excellent rapport with pupils from 11years old and upwards.
I have a passion for teaching and I can enthuse and motivate pupils to make learning fun. I provide a variety of teaching styles and deliver visual and interesting activities. I have had many years working within a pastoral capacity and consequently I like to provide a holistic approach for the individual, thus helping to increase their confidence in the subject and in their own abilities to achieve their personal grades.
I am willing to travel to the pupils` home to tutor them on a one-to-one basis or within a small group. I am willing to discount the hourly rate for a small group (maximum 4 pupils as I am interested in teaching quality not quantity).
I have had over six years experience in mentoring undergraduate students working towards a degree or PGCE studies. If there is a student out there wanting some help with assignments or classroom support or just advice on PLTS etc.
