Fully Qualified EFL Teacher. All levels and all exams covered. Enthusiastic and proven success rate. lessons adapted fully to the students objectives and goals. Years of experience and currently hosting students at home.
I also teach English school curriculum to Primary and Secondary pupils. I cover GCSE and AS levels too.
I am very patient and caring. I always try to get the very best standards from my pupils and keep them motivated at all times.
I have taught English for over fifteen years with a constant and continual range of students.Always have very good pass results for GCSE English language and literature.
Availability: I have availability during mornings,afternoons and evenings. Monday to Friday and also Saturday mornings and afternoons.

Experience: Have taught in schools and currently am hosting students as a home stay tutor and have current GCSE and AS level students. I also have some Polish children that I help with the school primary curriculum. I am bilingual in both Polish and German languages. I always have a constant array of students.

Lesson was not well organised nor prepared although topics to be covered were communicated 3 weeks before the class. Lesson invite link was not sent until 10 minutes before lesson started, teaching materials were sent via whatsapp at the first 10 minutes of the class. It took me another 5 minutes to print them out and luckily I have a printer at home! Teacher did not know how to use technology to facilitate online learning. She used excuse as she was familiar with Teams but did not want to use Zoom because she has to pay for the usage. Time was not compensated while she was waiting for me to print. During the waiting time she did not conduct any teaching till I prompted her. My child found the lesson very boring and not interactive so that was the main reason I chose not to proceed tutoring with Barbara. However I received two long messages asking me to give an explanation why I did not want to continue lessons with her. I was told to be rude not having an after class discussion with her because I was busy preparing dinner for my family, not to mentioned I was not expected to do it. Time and money spent plus being blamed at as a client.
Tutors Response :
This is just pure malicious untrue slander. I don`t think in all my 12 years on this website have I ever come across such a nasty and despicable customer ever!!! I have a 12 year five star track record to prove that all my students were and are totally satisfied with my tuition. It`s such a shame that there are bad apples like you out there who try to ruin a tutors good reputation and even more unacceptable that tutor hunt does not protect long-standing tutors from such vile abuse. Shameful indeed .
If any other tutors have experienced this on here please let me know as I`m contacting the ombudsman about this total unfairness and injustice.

I’ve completed several sessions with Barbara, who is friendly, professional, patient, has an excellent sense of humour and has tailored the tuition to my particular needs, existing German comprehension and accommodated by timetable needs. The lessons are enjoyable, well-paced and varied, combining grammar, translation and comprehension, pronunciation and conversational practice. I find this a useful and enjoyable combination and I look forward to our tuition sessions. I highly recommend Barbara as a tutor.
