Information about Paul
Hi, my name is Paul and I have been teaching Astronomy (both introductory and intermediate) for the past twelve years with the last four years also teaching GCSE. I teach both privately and for Birmingham Adult Education Services as well as giving one-off talks to various societies and groups.
I have been passionately interested in the subject since I was 8 years old and I am currently working towards a degree in Astrophysics.
I hold a Certificate in Astronomy and Planetary Science from the Open University and a Certificate of Professional Development in Teaching Astronomy from John Moores University Liverpool.
My day job is in IT as a database administrator/developer and Business Intelligence developer (Data Warehouses and reporting)and I have work for several years as a Microsoft Certified Trainer.
Availability: Weekday evenings from 6.00pm.
Saturdays
Usually, not Sundays - but can accommodate if necessary
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: 42+ years of passionate study and observing
Teaching Astronomy to Adults and Secondary since 1999.
