I am keen to tutor GCSE physics/maths and A level physics/astrophysics (if astro is a chosen topic). I have studied astrophysics to PhD and postdoc level (Harvard Smithsonian, 3.5 years)
I also currently mark undergraduate astronomy/astrobiology distance learning scri pts for my old university, UCLAN.

I have also worked in other areas: software development, electronic engineering, north sea oil seismic surveys, and hence have varied life experiences. I have a flexible and informal approach to tutoring and can improve students` grades if they are interested in doing so.

Availability: Any time except weekends.

Willing to travel: 50 miles

Experience: Have done some GCSE maths tutoring in London and have successfully tutored A level physics (EDEXCEL, OCR) in the Hastings area.

Quote from a recent student who previously was achieving `C`s:

`This is the email about the results and I suppose the fact that I am emailing you an hour after I got them tells you that I did well. I got an A! The results were 150/150 for unit 2, 70/90 for unit 4 and 111/150 for unit 5.
