Highly motivated physics Tutor.
My name is Anton. I have a master`s degree in Physics from the University of New Hampshire. I started to tutor in 2010. I enjoyed the job and gradually I became a full-time tutor. During the last seven years, I accumulated extensive teaching experience and I helped more than 50 students to be admitted in UK and USA universities. I primarily teach:
A-level physics - OCR, AQA, and Edexcel exam boards
Cambridge Pre-U Physics
Advanced Placement (AP) Physics
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - Physics (SL) and (HL).
Occasionally I teach university-level subjects such as Mechanics, Electrodynamics, and Quantum Mechanics.
My approach to teaching is based on a three-fold strategy.
First - THE CONCEPTS.
Most of the students consider physics the most difficult subject they have ever taken. That`s why I apply extra effort to make sure that the student has a proper understanding of the concepts, not just memorizing facts. I easy detect weak spots in students understanding and this gives me chance to focus on the most relevant topics.
Second - INTERACTIVE AND ENGAGING LESSON.
I carefully prepare myself for each session, and my goal is to make the student involved in the lesson not just leaving him to listen to me. I use software for interactive simulations. Believe me, it helps a lot if the student can actually see and play with different physical phenomena instead of just imagining it.
Third - PRACTICE:
Part of my lesson will be devoted to solving problems from past papers. I might either solve the problems by myself or monitor the student solving approach. I will explain some tricks and perhaps show you more efficient solutions. My observation is that if the student goal is to achieve an A grade it requires at least two hours of tutoring per week throughout the academic year, of course, some students ask for more. In any case, it will give me great pleasure to help you improve your knowledge and make you feel the beauty of PHYSICS.

Anton tutored both of my daughters for about two months leading up to their physics exams, and I honestly can’t recommend him highly enough. They had worked with other physics tutors before, but none of them were able to give the support they truly needed — Anton was completely different. He was incredibly patient and thorough, always taking the time to answer all of their questions. He never rushed through a session or ended a lesson with anything left unclear, often going over the scheduled time just to make sure they fully understood — something most tutors wouldn’t do. What really made a difference was how he went beyond just covering the curriculum. He helped them grasp the key concepts at a deeper level, which is so important in a subject like physics. As a result, they felt much more confident going into their exams. Another huge plus was Anton’s flexibility — he had great availability, which made scheduling sessions so much easier. We’re extremely grateful for his help. He’s a dedicated and knowledgeable tutor, and I’d recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

Anton was great at doing some last minute weekly sessions for my son`s physics A level revision. Only wish we had started with him sooner. Lets see how the results pan out in August but would definitely recommend
