I am an enthusiastic, inspiring and experienced Mathematics specialist teacher and tutor with an excellent track record. My goal is to make my students free of the fear of Maths, to help them to work without anxiety and to experience the joy of achievement. This aim I can accomplish with students of all abilities and I mostly manage to improve their predicted grade in the exam, often significantly. My students often don`t notice that they are being "taught", as we tackle the problem together and try to deal with it by sharing the ideas and approaches. I had parents commenting that they were surprised hearing their child laughing with me while doing Maths. Not surprisingly, quite a few of my GCSE students decided to take up Maths A-level and succeeded.

I tutor all secondary school Mathematics, KS3, GCSE and A-level, also Further Maths. I have successfully tutored Engineering and Economics undergraduates in mathematical modules (secured the entry into CAS school of Economics, London, and a pass in the second year of Civil engineering degree after a poor first year result). Despite my expertise in advanced Mathematics, my input also helped in many cases of students struggling to get a GCSE pass, who were either disengaged or "left behind" by their school, often in the independent or grammar school sector. Motivation, enjoyment and self-belief were the keys to success.

After more than 20 years of teaching in a main stream school and 30 years of Maths tutoring, I consider myself a top-level expert in the field and multiple success stories of my students testify to that.

Experience: I have been tutoring Maths for over 30 years and teaching in a Secondary School up to A level for over 20 years.

I have extensive experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-level exams. As a serving teacher I am in constant touch with current resources (exam papers) and Exam boards` requirements year on year.

My classroom practice and one-to-one tutoring go hand in hand. I apply class experience, familiarity with current education trends and exam modifications in my tutoring sessions. Seeing the common misconceptions multiplied by 30 (the class size) on a daily basis, I am in a position to point out those common errors to my tutees, so they can see them first-hand and learn from them.

One-to-one tuition is an excellent way to get the student engaged, get in touch with their mathematical self (which has often been neglected) and make a serious progress towards their goal. I can see that aspect of improvement in my school students who had taken up a private tuition.
