He is a very helpful and patient teacher, I’m already learning a lot and feel much more confident at chemistry.

Andy has been very accommodating and flexible with the times and days that he can tutor our daughter in A level chemistry. He has proved an excellent and patient teacher and my daughter is finding his teaching invaluable.

Andrew completed a course for us for 5 students for an intensive revision course at his A level rates over 18 hours this Easter, but unfortunately the feedback was mixed from the students who attended. 2-3 students felt the course was beneficial or reasonably beneficial, and the other two felt that they did not benefit from it at all, in their words.
As Andrew is a Head of Chemistry/Science, I had not expected negative feedback, and perhaps this is unfair, however I can only go by what the students tell me. In the light of this, I am having to provide replacement courses at my own expense for 2 of the students for what they felt was an unproductive course despite paying Andrew more for his work than any other tutor who helped this Easter.
I know that Andrew feels he did his best and was not very pleased with us as an organisation, but I have not had negative feedback from any other tutors and felt we did our best to support Andrew in what must have been a complex task, providing tuition to a range of abilities with mixed syllabi.

Sadly it seems like we will part ways after just three sessions. This is no reflection on andrew. But other commitments have got in the way.

Very easy to get on with, my son getting a lot out of a few sessions for A level Chemistry.

Andrew tutored my son for AS and A2. My son was predicted grade C at AS level but achieved grade A at both AS and A2!
Andrew was able to identify and focus really closely on the parts of the syllabus which were proving the most difficult. He provided lots of great questions to work through and built up my son`s confidence in his ability to tackle difficult questions methodically.

My son found his recent A2 tutoring session with Andrew Begbey very helpful and we are waiting for a regular tutoring slot when it becomes available.
