Passionate about the field in which I work, I strive to pass on my enthusiasm to my students everyday.

As an outstanding teacher of English, I bring the knowledge from my First Class degree (with Honours) in English (specialising in literature) and the experience of teaching in four schools, to my practice. Currently based in a secondary mainstream school in Shropshire, I work tirelessly to support the progress of the GCSE and A-Level students I teach.

I am happy to tutor one to one, or in small groups (£5 for each additional student). I am happy to travel up to eight miles but accept enquiries outside of this catchment.

Experience: I am currently an Assistant Head of Inclusions and Safeguarding Lead in a school in Shropshire. Prior to this, I was Head of Year and Second in Department. I achieved QTS in May 2011 and excelled in my GTP year at Newman University College, achieving an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’. My degree is in English, specialising in Literature, and for this I obtained a First Class with Honours.

I have taught a variety of GCSE syllabuses, including: AQA (English and English Literature) Cambridge iGCSE (Core and Extended Paper 0522) WJEC (English) and currently I teach Eduqas GCSE English Literature and Language, and AQA A-Level English Literature and Language. Additionally, I have taught at all KS3 years.
