I am a highly experienced educator who specialises in developing the academic skills base of learners and students. I teach Maths, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, and Business Studies but my methods can be applied to any subject. I focus on learning styles, study and exam techniques. My key approach is to assist young people to realise how the brain works and to make studying fun. I tend to work with a pupil/student for 6 sessions whereafter they are usually able to take care of their own learning, longer engagement can be discussed but I find it is not value for money unless the learner requires structure to support disciplined study. I also run employability programmes for school leavers and assist with career development and have designed a programme for young people who are struggling to find a suitable routes to the world of work. I am happy to meet learners/students initially to see if there is a fit and whether I am able to be of assistance. I have found that I am able to teach learners/students how to learn effectively that allows them to enjoy learning which is the bedrock of effective studying and learning.

Availability: Every weekday and all weekend. I am presently building a platform for young people to build their employability skills and engage in a basic `earn while you learn` model for parents to use pocket money as a motivator. Experience: I have taught at all levels from primary through to higher education. I have taught large groups, one 2 one and online. I am currently a Senior Lecturer teaching Enterprise and Business at a university and tutoring learners at secondary and above. I also run groups on employability and career development.
