I am a fully qualified teacher, specializing in English at GCSE and A level.- I specialise in English Language and English Literature, and have experience of both AQA and Edexcel specifications at GCSE level, as well as experience with all aspects of AQA English Literature and Lang/Lit at A level.
I also tutor Maths at Foundation level GCSE with excellent results. I am experienced with both AQA and Edexcel Maths GCSE.
Finding what barriers there are within subjects has ensured incredible academic achievements for all my students over the years, with an average 2 grade improvement with 95% of my students. My students attend schools and colleges from Rutland, Northamptonshire, and Leicestershire, and as such they all have a variety of curriculum needs.
Being a private tutor for as long as being a qualified teacher, ensures that I have provided flexible one-to-one sessions and kept all learning up-to-date and relevant with curriculum changes.
My experience has meant that I have worked with students who have dyslexia, social and emotional problems, school phobias, and students on the ASD spectrum. I do not work with any student where they feel uncomfortable or where the experience is not productive or helpful for them working with me.
I offer online sessions and am flexible to suit the needs of the family and student.

Experience: I have 20 years teaching in various Secondary schools within Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
I have held management positions within the schools I have taught in and ensured improved exam results every year throughout my career, not only for my students but also across my departments, as I have aided my colleagues with finding effective methods to improve their delivery of each subject. I have been a private tutor for the past 17 years alongside my teaching commitments at school, ranging from KS2 to KS5.
