Information about Alice-rae
I am a qualified Maths Teacher and work with secondary school and sixth form students as well as adult learners, supporting with GCSE, A Level, Access Courses and homeschooling.
It is important that students feel at ease and able to ask questions to deepen and broaden their understanding. It is great to see how a little patience, encouragement and reassurance can help build a student’s confidence and realise their ability to learn, and even enjoy Maths - it doesn`t have to be scary!
I can help by:
- Securing the concepts taught in lessons
- Supporting with homework
- Working through the curriculum at the pace needed, filling in gaps or extending understanding through problem solving and investigations
- Preparation and practice for exams using past papers
- Revision techniques and organisation of revision timetables
Availability: Daytime slots only at the moment. Ideal for sixth form students to fit around their timetable.

Experience: I am a qualified Secondary Maths Teacher and have been working in schools and as a tutor since 2012. I have worked with students from Key Stages 2 to 5 as well as adult learners. This includes preparing students for 11+, SATs, Functional Skills, GCSEs and A Levels exams and working with trainee teachers. I am also an examiner for Pearson, AQA and Cambridge International and mark key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level maths papers.

We have only met Alice a a few times, but we have already been very impressed with her. Alice arrives very punctually and is always very prepared for each lesson. Alice liaises directly with our son, ensuring that their time together is focused on his weaker area`s. Alice has a very pleasant persona and relates very well to the my son who is seventeen. I would thoroughly recommend Alice for maths tuition for all ages.

She seemed a good tutor but only had the chance to tutor my son three days as she didn`t have capacity on the days we were available.

Alice`s patience and confidence-building methods have had a huge impact on my son, who is now approaching the subject with confidence and massively improved competence. She works well with teens. I thoroughly recommend her.
