Alan

I have over ten years experience of teaching Physics, which I teach up to A Level. I am familiar with AQA and OCR courses. I also teach Chemistry to GCSE. AS well as teaching in schools and 6th Form Colleges, I have also provided private tutorials for about 10 years.

During tutorials, I attempt to focus on the individual needs of each student and tailor the lesson accordingly. I like to include specific exercises for each student to help consolidate understanding and to build confidence. I include a very significant amount of “past exam papers” as I believe this provides the best preparation for student facing exams.

I am able to travel to students’ homes in the Sheffield area.

In terms of my own education, I have a BSc in Materials Science and a PhD in Physics.
