A-level tutor wanted — Maths, Physics & Economics

We are looking for an experienced A-level tutor/tutors to support my son, Joe, through his 2027 resits in Edexcel Maths, AQA Physics and AQA Economics.

Joe achieved 7 grade 9s at GCSE, so there is no question about his academic potential. His first A-level attempt was significantly below that level, largely because of poor study habits, distractions and a lack of structure and accountability. The good news is that we have seen a clear change in his determination and attitude, and he is now committed to making the resit year count.

His goal is A*AA, enabling him to reapply to Bath to study Economics.

We`re therefore looking for someone who can offer more than a weekly lesson: initial assessment, a structured plan, regular progress checks, work between sessions, exam technique and appropriate challenge/accountability. For Economics, we`d particularly value someone who can also encourage wider reading and genuine engagement with the subject.

We are based near Towcester, Northamptonshire, but are very open to online tuition.

We`d be interested in hearing from experienced A-level teachers, examiners or tutors with a strong track record of helping students move from underperformance to high grades. Experience with resit students would be particularly valuable.

Please message me with your experience, subjects/exam boards, availability and rates.
