Information about Harry

Harry is a friendly and enthusiastic tutor his motto for teaching is that anyone can learn anything, you just have to find the right approach. In his experience, Harry has observed that every pupil learns differently. In his own words: “It is so important to adopt a style of teaching that is suited to the pupils’ needs, so that they can achieve the best results they are capable of.” Harry approaches his teaching with a great deal of enthusiasm and patience and has been able to turn the subjects his tutees were previously most worried about into their favourite lessons.

Harry graduated from Kings College London where he read Biomedical Science, specalizing in Cardiovascular and Inflammatory Pharmacology. He has tutored ever since with a 2 year gap when he did the Teach First Leadership development programme and gained an outstanding PGCE and secured his 2 years of classroom teaching as a maths and science teacher in an Ipswich high school . Harry took five A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Music and General Studies, and tutors all these subjects up to A level standard. Harry also has experience of working with dyslexic children aged between 11 and 16, to whom he predominantly taught Maths and Science. Harry has achieved Grade 8 in both Singing and Piano and is confident tutoring both, in addition to Music Theory. He also played Bass Trombone in the Suffolk Orchestra and toured all over Europe for four years.

During his time off, Harry plays a very competitive game of squash in his University team and has recently discovered a passion for Ultimate Frisbee. Harry also enjoys hosting movie marathons and beating his friends at Monopoly.
