Hello! I am a tutor who is currently a Medical student and also has graduated with a Biomedical Science degree from [contact detail removed] of London. I achieved a first class in this, and achieved an A* in both GCSE Biology and GCSE Chemistry.
My method of teaching is varied;; each session, I will begin by teaching you the concepts and content at a pace that is comfortable for you. I like to use my whiteboard/paper and coloured pens when doing this as some students learn much better through visual cues! Secondly, I will lightly test you by asking you to explain concepts and encourage discussion about the content you have just learnt - this is the time to ask questions, which is something I highly encourage and will never judge you for. Thirdly, I will give you real past paper questions to consolidate your knowledge - you will do this timed and in exam conditions. Any questions that are not completed will be given as homework for you to take home, along with some more exam style questions from other resources. Finally, I will give you back your marks for the past paper questions /exam style you will have done the previous session and/or for homework the previous week. I will go through anything you got wrong - I am a strong believer of learning from your mistakes and I think those that do actually end up doing better in exams! So please do not feel as though you will be judged, because instead we can go through together your weak areas and make sure these are filled in time for your exams! I will always try my best to facilitate you, whatever your specific needs and abilities. I also used to make science revision videos on [contact detail removed], so if there is high demand for these from my future students, I am more than happy to bring my channel to life again!

Please note: I am able to teach face to face for students who live around 2 miles away from me. However, online is much more preferred as I have placements away from home sometimes. All other distances will need to be online im afraid, but I am confident in being able to teach and engage with your child just as well!

Experience: I have had experience working as a teaching assistant at a tuition centre for the past year and a half. Students have ranged from reception to GCSE age, so I have had extensive experiencing working with all age groups - teaching English, Maths and Science at all levels! I`m genuinely a friendly individual and I am really passionate about improving students` academic abilities and prospects - making sure they stay motivated to achieve the great things in life they aspire to do! My suitability is demonstrated through having done both one-to-one and group tuition at the tuition centre, as well as some experience doing private tuition.
