My last job was at Bexleyheath School where I was required to plan, deliver and assess lessons to all abilities of pupils across all the age ranges and key stages. I consider the most important part of this procedure to be the feedback to pupils so that they can see the progress they are making and help them to understand how this can be improved.

I was particularly involved with delivering ‘A’ level Mathematics, Pure, Mechanics and Statistics, to 6th form pupils and attended the Edexcel feedback meetings on behalf of the department. After school I often took extra revision or progress development classes and also individual tutoring to meet pupils’ specific needs.

As a member of a large department I was actively involved with curriculum development and the planning needed to introduce new initiatives as required by DfE or examination boards. I also acted as mentor to new and less experienced staff helping in particular with their subject knowledge and ways it may be delivered to different ability levels. I also carried lesson observations in order to feedback on development of the teaching and learning.
