Information about Melissa

I am a results-focused, experienced tutor dedicated to enthusing students with a genuine interest in maths, English and science! Currently, I am a project manager in the UK Space industry with a Masters in Chemical Engineering with French. As such, I have a real passion for education that I love to share with my students.

At present, I am able to accommodate levels from primary school up to A-Level standard.

I am a qualified STEM ambassador, and regularly visit schools across the country to host talks and workshops about the space industry. I love to inspire younger generations about science and engineering!

Due to my high academic record, I was awarded the BP scholarship at Imperial College London and graduated with a masters in Chemical Engineering with French. With my high technical abilities, I am able to break down complex concepts into bite-sized, digestible chunks for students. Furthermore, as a project manager of technical space projects, I have excellent inter-personal and communication skills - which I believe are vital in the learning cycle.

I am always willing to go above and beyond for students, and I am flexible in my schedule to accommodate to your needs. Please get in touch if you are interested in my tutoring services, I would be more than happy to answer your questions!

5/5 Rating

Melissa was with us for 2 weeks with our autistic son for support on maths and sciences. In this short time, we found Melissa to be a friendly and capable tutor. More importantly, Melissa was quick to determine that our son needed more specialist intervention, rather than continue which would have been counter-productive. Happy to recommend her.
