Information about David
Much of my teaching is from a tutorial centre on the first floor of an extensive Victorian property set in peaceful, idyllic surroundings within easy reach of Oxted, Westerham and surrounding areas. Here, I have been successfully providing both a full-time teaching service for small groups of Year 10 and 11 students and tutorial sessions to children in Years 7 to 11 (plus younger children preparing for CEE examinations) since early 2017.
As well as providing teaching at the Centre, tuition is also available in your home or online, in small groups or one-to-one.
Alongside my colleagues, I can provide teaching and support in a wide range of subjects.
Our small groups (of four or fewer students) are taught in large well-equipped classrooms - so you can be sure that your child will always be in a Covid-safe environment. Our approach to teaching our full-time students provides a safe, and highly successful, half-way house between traditional school-based education and home-schooling. Student`s progress has been regularly inspected and approved by home-schooling officials from KCC and other local authorities.
All students, both full-time and part-time are provided with free snacks and refreshments. We have comprehensive pastoral care system in place, which students may access at any time.
I am a well-qualified teacher with experience of teaching and school management in both state and independent schools. I have a passion for helping children achieve to the very limits of their personal abilities and to take pride in their achievements. I work with students to ensure that they believe in themselves, grow in confidence, develop their skills and knowledge and acquire a life-long love of learning. Students` results are consistently at or above their predicted grades.
Full-time places for Year 10 (and Year 11) students are currently available. Enquires from part-time students are welcomed at any time.
