Hello, I’m Sabrina. A qualified Teacher of English with with over five years of teaching experience, and over seven years of tutoring experience.
I am a friendly and enthusiastic tutor who enjoys building a rapport with every student, I will help tp build the student`s confidence and knowledge of English.

All of my students have flourished with my tuition, in particular, in the 2023 summer GCSE examinations, all of my students got 3 grades higher than predicted, with one student moving from a U to a Grade 5. I have many testimonials from private tuition parents that say I have helped to transform their children’s confidence around school and exams, and have allowed them to flourish academically.

I really believe that tutoring can help students gain confidence and help them excel. Traditional school classrooms can be large, and overwhelming, with students often getting left behind. My tutoring gives the time and 1-1 support that the school cannot offer.

Availability: As I now tutor only online, I have availability weekdays 9am-9pm.

Experience: I graduated from Cardiff University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in English Literature. I gained my Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Secondary English) and gained a Distinction and ‘Excellent’ in every Teaching Standard. I have a CELTA qualification (Cambridge University English Language Teaching), which means I am able to tutor both English as a Foreign Language and the British curriculum.

I have a comprehensive background in education and tutoring, which includes English Literature and Language GCSE, KS3 English, Primary English, SATs preparation and 11+ entrance exam preparation. I have worked in secondary education and primary education, so have seen a wide range of abilities and needs.

I am confident in my ability to provide high-quality tuition to students across various age groups and skill levels. I believe in creating engaging and interactive lessons that not only develop students` comprehension and communication skills but also foster a genuine appreciation for language and literature, helping them to achieve their academic goals and enjoy the learning process.

One of my key strengths lies in building strong rapport with my students. I believe that meaningful connections are the cornerstone of effective teaching and learning. By establishing a supportive and trusting relationship with my students, I create an atmosphere where they feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, and embracing challenges. I always say that no question is too big or too small and we will always work through the answer together!

I am able to tutor English Primary (all years) and secondary English Language and Literature (up to GCSE). Maths - Primary. I am able to help with proofreading University applications, and CVs. Alongside this, I am able to teach English as Foreign Langauge.
