Information about Karthica

My name is Karthica , I have a passion for education and a strong background in Biology. I studied Biomedical Science at St Georges University of London, then I went on to study Medicine at Hull York Medical School. Currently I am working as a Doctor however, I have had some time off due to health reasons. Going forward I will be working part-time. Therefore, I would love to tutor on my days off and weekends. I am confident in my ability to provide effective and engaging tutoring sessions that empower students to succeed academically.

Through my experience, I have learned to tailor my approach to each student`s unique learning style, fostering a comfortable and open learning environment. By breaking down complex topics into manageable chunks and using real-world examples, I help students connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications, ensuring a deeper understanding of the material. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students achieve higher grades but also to instill in them a sense of confidence and self-efficacy. I encourage problem-solving, and independent learning, equipping my students with the skills they need to thrive academically and beyond. I am dedicated to tracking each student`s progress and adjusting my teaching methods as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: As a final year medical student last year, I had many opportunities to teach younger year groups. I helped run revision sessions for 1st year to 4th year medical students. Working as a Doctor this year, I have taught medical students on the wards and have taught my peers during weekly learning sessions ran at the hospital. Through this experience, I have learned to tailor my approach to each student`s unique learning style, fostering a comfortable and open learning environment.
