I have been a qualified teacher for over 5 years and have taught students from years 7-11 (KS3-4).

I have recently had a baby and am currently working part time. I have therefore chosen tutoring as it allows me flexibility but also allows me to still do what I love doing more often, teach!

Having had a baby myself I feel even more passionate about my job. I can empathise now from the position of a parent and know just how important it is for parents to feel their child is in the best hands and given the opportunities to reach their full potential. This is what I hope to achieve for students in my role as tutor.

Availability: Weekdays after 6pm.
Weekends- any time up until 7pm.

Experience: I have had experience of teaching for over 5 years across key stages 3 and 4. I have during this time taught in mixed sex schools and completed training in single sex schools so I am confident with achieving brilliant results with both girls and boys alike.

I have a proven track record of helping students to not only reach but in many cases exceed their school given targets. I have had extremely positive results for students who are struggling on grade borderlines, as well as those who are having a little difficulty achieving the very top grades. I have particular strengths and expertise in teaching poetry, essay construction help for examinations, texts such as Frankenstein, A Christmas Carol and An Inspector Calls for English Literature. I have also undergone AQA training for the new spec English Language examination papers 1 and 2 and so am extremely confident in teaching these.
I am a firm believer that everything can be achieved when students focus well and apply and teachers work in partnership with students to help them achieve their very best possible. I hope to achieve this with students I teach in my role as tutor.
